Our Inheritance as Heirs of God

We are heirs of God 

Heirs receive inheritance

Because we are God’s heirs

Our Father God has given us inheritance

Spiritual inheritance

Kept in heaven for us

That will not perish, spoil, or fade

Lasting inheritance

It cannot be spent even as we expend it

Inheritance in the form of

Spiritual blessings

The more we partake of it

The more it grows

Foretaste of it here on earth

For what will be fully realized in heaven

Joy

Faith

Love

Hope

Glory

Peace

Shalom

Wisdom

Fulfillment

Contentment

There are responsibilities expected of the heirs

Heirs participate in the household of the Father

And join the Father in the “Family business”

God our Father has given each of us charge

We are to be about doing God’s work

When we have been faithful in little

The greater the Father will grant us charge

As we eagerly await the Father say to us

Well done, good and faithful servant

Come and share my happiness

Let us 

Enjoy the foretaste of God’s pleasure in us

As we apply His promises

Into our lives now

In the here and now

Knowing full well that we are

Heir of God

Co-heir with Christ

His precious progeny

In whom He is well pleased

Even before we take on His charge

And go about doing God’s work

God has already blessed us with His

Full acceptance and pleasure

God has given us inheritance

He is our inheritance

And we are His
