Faithfulness and Obedience

The keys to contentment in life are

Knowing where we start and end

Knowing our worth in Christ

Knowing who we are

Knowing that we belong to God

Knowing that God belongs to us

Knowing our strengths and weaknesses

Embracing ourselves as unique creations of God

Being grateful for how God has masterfully crafted us

Even when we do not like some aspects of ourselves

Even when we have a tough time fully accepting ourselves

Comparison kills our joy

It denies God’s unique design of us

It rejects God’s truth and calling for our lives

It thumbs our nose at God’s perfection in crafting us

God is the Master Potter

God has every right to decide each of our purposes

God has the authority to determine what He wants from us

God is Sovereign

God exists from eternity to eternity

God sees the ending from the beginning

God is the Determinator for every moment in between

God alone has the full view of what was, is, and is to come

We are all part of the mosaic that together

Make up the full reflection of God

Each and every one of us serves a unique purpose

In God’s grand design

Some of the designs in God’s house are

Audacious

Masterful

Beautiful

Grand

Shiny

Plain

Small

Lackluster

Imperceptible

Each with its own purpose

To become living stones in God’s house

Each one needful for the grand picture

To reflect the fullness of God’s glory

In reality though

It can look very much like

We play a seemingly minor role

We can be one of the knobby legs

Upholding a tabletop

That together make up a

Sturdy and functional table

We can look plain and not flashy

We keep our hands on the plow throughout life

God will judge us by our faithfulness and obedience

Not how shiny we might look

Not how much we contribute to the world

Not how many lives we have touched

Definitely not like the ones who have

“In Jesus’ name”

Done ministries

The ones who will hear Jesus say

“I have never known you”

They missed what matters most

Having a living relationship with Christ

Hearing Him clearly

And doing only what He says to do

At the time and place God dictates

What has God given you

How does He want you to use the talents He has given you

How have you used His gifting

In full obedience

Faithfully ministering to those whom God placed in your life

It could be to one person or less than a handful

Has God given you

 One talent

Two talents

Five talents

However many talents are up to God

How faithful we have been with what was given us

Will be judged when the Master returns

Be faithful then

With the number of talents God has given you

Be obedient to the Maker

Who has given you your talent

Stop comparing

Start realizing

Being grateful

Obedient and faithful

With what was given you

There will be joy and contentment

Living in our calling

Living to the fullest

Living in the center of God’s perfect will
