Enter into God’s Rest
Due to Israelites’ unbelief they were
unable to enter into God’s rest
The promise land
All except Joshua and Caleb
died in the desert on their way to
the promise land
Due to their unbelief
Their unbelief that God will be true
to His Word
And lead them into the promise land
The land flowing with milk and honey
Their destiny
Their inheritance
Their home
That they’d finally have a home to
rest in
Their very own
Land
Home
Safe haven
Rest
They didn’t believe that God can
And will
Deliver them
From the pursuit of Pharaoh’s
chariots
As they faced the Red Sea
As they encountered bitter water
As they longed for food and meat from
Egypt
As they thirsted for water
As they faced enemies all around
As they saw the giants in their
promised land to come
Unbelief
It was their unbelief
In God
In Who He is
His love
His power
His will
To bring about what He has uttered
and promised
of what He will do
That prevented them from entering in
Unbelief
Doubt
Lack of faith
Quick forgetfulness of what God has
done
In the past
In the recent past
In His last act of deliverance or
provision
Inability to see beyond the present
circumstances
That kept them from entering
Into
God’s promise
God’s provision
God’s love
God’s abundance
God’s blessings
Unbelief
is
Sin
It is what separates us from God
From His good and perfect Will
That we would have living
relationship
With the One Who created us
Who loves us dearly
Who provides for us
Who protects us
Who blesses us
It is our sin
Our unbelief
That excludes us from
God’s promise
God’s provision
God’s love
God’s abundance
God’s blessings
Let US
Not just you
and
not just me
But US
Encourage one another
To grow in our faith
That God really is Whom He says He is
Let us remind one another
How He was there for us
He was faithful to
His promise when we were faithless
His provision in our times of need
His love when we were rejected and
dejected
His abundance when we were in want
His blessings beyond measure
Let us
All together
Spur each other on
In our faith
That we might
All together
Enter
Into the consummation of His promise
The sufficiency of His provisions
Relish the depth and breadth of His
love
Lavish in His abundance
Luxuriate in His blessings
Ultimately
Fullness of rest
God’s rest
