Blessing of Family…for Eternity

The Triune God is a “family”

God the Father

God the Son

God the Holy Spirit

From the very beginning there was God

God is

“I Am that I Am”

In this “I Am”

consists a family of

God the Father

God the Son

God the Holy Spirit

God is One

and yet Three

Three in One

We call this “Family” as

God’s own Community

Which He has invited us into

When we accept what

God the Son has done for us on the cross

We enter into this family

We are now called Children of God

Heirs of God

and co-heirs with Christ

We become spiritual siblings

With all who have accepted Christ

Christ the Mediator

The Sacrificial Lamb

Who unites us with God

through the shedding of His own blood

For without the shedding of blood

there can be no forgiveness

Only Christ

God the Son

Can accomplish this

Christ saw the joy set before Him

Beyond the cross

The cross of suffering

Of physical pain

Of spiritual separation

from His very own Father

For the first and only time in eternity

When God the Father saw all the sins of the world

On His Own Son

 When God turned away His face

And Jesus cried out on the cross

My God

My God

Why have You

forsaken Me!

But Christ saw what was beyond that suffering

while on the cross

He saw us on the other side of the cross

For the joy set before Him

He endured the cross

The joy was us

He went willingly to the cross

So He might

Bring us back

To God

To Himself

To usher us into

the Family of God

Not just you

Not just me

Both you and me

And countless others

Whom have accepted what

Christ the Son

The Firstborn of all creation

Has accomplished for us on the cross

Now we are all one Family

Family of God

Siblings with one another

for

Eternity

We are family

My brothers

sisters and me

The double blessing

is when

Our flesh and blood families

are also co-heirs of Christ

Through the repentance of our sins

And acceptance of

What Christ has done for us

On the cross

We are then

Family in flesh and blood

And

Family of God

We

are

Family

for

Eternity
